The Seemandhra protest by the activists all over the Seemandhra region on the Telangana and Hyderabad satus issue may force Congress High command to withdraw its decision on Hyderabad.
The congress High command had earlier announced that a separate Telangana state with Hyderabad as the joint capital would be formed soon.
If the congress High command changes its stand on Hyderabad issue and declares Hyderabad as union territory , then the telangana and andhra state had to set up their own capitals.
For a town to become a capital city, it should be have the following requirement.
Existence of vast area of government lands
Abundance Natural Resources and Infrastructure
Government offices and Institutions
Hence Vishakapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, Tirupati, Ongole and Kurnool are in the race for the capital of Andhra pradesh state.
On the other hand, Warangal, Khammam, Karimnagar are reported to considered for setting up of the capital city for Telangana state
